Making a computer, obviously, and wanted to make sure all my parts where there and I wasn't missing anything (i don't need mouse, keyboard, screen, speakers, or OS).

It's a good processor, and unlocked for potential overclock, but I won't do that until I buy a non-stock CPU fan.

Well that is what I came up with, I think I can borrow an OS from another computer, I might stick with XP or just go for 7, I have a HDTV for a monitor/speaker and "input devices" are dirt cheap at office max so I'm not going to spend S&H on them at NewEgg.
I want some constructive criticism because I am not entirely sure everything is compatible, graphics card to motherboard & PSU wattage.

looks like a pretty good build :good: everything is compatible. nice choice with the 955. are you planning on overclocking it at all?

I think I might eventually, I have never done it before. First I'm going to see how it runs normal and then I'll start creeping up the throttle :D I'm feeling excited about this since it's might first step out of the realm of this 1.3ghz single core, 256mb, windows 98, nightmare of a computer!

woah, you're in for a treat :D

if you plan on really overclocking (maybe trying to get 4.0 ghz) then i would say you almost definitely need an aftermarket cooler. what kind of a budget do you think you'd have for one?

I think that Hyper 212 looks pretty good, but I won't buy from newegg for what they want for it. Non computer stores have it for only 25 bucks and they want 50!
