First and foremost I would like to mention that it's a Dell, yeah yeah I know....Dell sucks.....before you rant on about how I made the mistake of my life, I'd like to mention that the only reason why I got this PC was because I got it very cheap and with accidental premium warranty. The PC's spec is:

---------------
XPS 8300
----------------

I7 2600 3.4GHz
6GB DDR3 1333MHz RAM
ATI HD 5770 Graphics Card
1.5 RAID 0 'Stripe' 7200 Hard Drive
THX 7.1 Sound Card
Windows 7 Home Premium
A load of cool software
450W PSU

I play Starcraf 2 and plan on playing GTA IV on PC.

Besides that, I program In C Sharp and plan on doing some 3D Modelling work.

So watcha think?

I am actually a dell fan I have never had any problems with them. To this system I would say it looks good should run really nice

GTA IV is a game which requires a really high config. You wont be able to play it maxed out but you will be able to play it at high resolution with AA and AF turned off.
How much did you pay for it?

The Processor is awesome.
The GPU might be a bottleneck in some tasks.

The only problem is the 450W PSU quality

Hi, what do you mean by AA nd AF? Would there be much point in overclocking it to get GTA on full settings?

Anti Aliasing and Anisotropic filtering.
Yes overclocking would help. But I dont know whether that will enable you to play it on with AA and AF maxed out.

AA = Anti Aliasing. This blurs the pixels together to get rid of the ‘blocky’ look.
AF = Anistrophic Filtering. No idea for sure. I think it makes textures in the distance look better.

About Dell... I like dell. I’ve never actually owned one, but when ever friends or co-workers bring a dell to me, to help them out with it, I like it because Dell usually makes it easy to find drivers and support for their computers.

An easy way to overclock your 5770 would be to get ATI's Catalyst Control Center. It makes it super easy to set your clocks/fan speeds.

But like Mihir said, consider replacing the 450W psu. You don't need to really go much higher in wattage, but having a high quality psu will benefit you in the long run.

Thanks for the comments guys! I'll upload a picture of my set-up once the PC arrives (Dell takes Ages to ship PC's).
