What do you think of these Parts?

Hey I've been taking a look at some parts for a new computer, do you reckon this is an OK list? I have about 100 more left to spend (not counting fans and yada yada) so is there anything I could/should upgrade here or just go with what I have?

(It's all from the same site)

That looks good.

I think i have said this before, have you considered MSY???

the Q6600 is $235 at MSY and $293 online.

So parts will be a lot cheaper at MSY compared to PC Case Gear.

Yes I've taken a look, but I think I'll go with PCCase gear. The MSY site looks a bit dodgy, and while I know lots of people buy parts from there, I also know that they don't exchange faulty products.

Just because their site is dodgy it doesn't mean they are unreliable....

GPU: Suggest going for PowerColor for its heatsink. But the downside is it take two slot

Mobo: Asus P5Q-E seems expensive as its only have P45 chipset.
Will it be better to go for DFI LanParty DK-X48-T2RS

PSU: Will Consair HX-620W a better choice?

What would the advantage/disadvantage be of getting the PowerColor? What's the difference between the two? I mean is it worth gettin the PowerColor over the HIS Hightech?

Also a friend reccomended CoolerMaster over Corsair so I guess that's what I'm going with.

As for the mobo, I wish I could tell the difference.

If you want a cheaper site, look at www.itestate.com.au, for wat I've heard they're very good and reasonably priced. Also, you could have a loot at www.megapc.com.au, I know they grossly overprice some of their products vut they have a Q6600 for under $250 (or they did last time I checked, at least), and they have excellent service (have had experience with them, they exchange faulty products and charge absolutely no restocking/shipping fees whatsoever).

Again, I'll say that the post of the thread is not to find a cheaper site, but for me to figure out which part I should get a better one of as I have an extra $100. I appreciate the links anyway I'll check them out.

I'm just going to say that Acrylic cases take a lot of upkeep. They scratch almost instanly and need constant dusting. Also make sure you do eveything you need too before putting the side panel on, it can be a pain...

As for spending an extra $100...

I would say you have a solid build there and might as well save the $100 or spend it on something else.

The HIS one is the standard ATI reference design, ppl say it is hot.
PowerColor one with aftermarket hearsink, so it would be cooler. But it seems to be a little thicker, I am not sure if there will be enough room if you want to run Crossfire eventually.

Ok well I might consider another case, though I like the acrylic because it's so simple.

And I reckon I'll go with the Powercooler card then, thanks for pointing that out :)
