What do you think of these specs?

I've thinking of getting a computer with these specs for college, any suggestions on changes or comments?

Pentium 4 3.4 Ghz (Intel D915GAVL P4, SATA, A/L, DDR400
Pentium 4 heat-sink fan)
Windows XP Pro
160 GB HD
Video Card: ATI RADEON X850 XT 256MB AGP
Sound Blaster Audigy 2 ZS Plantinum Edition

Logitech MX500 Optical Mouse

1 GB Ram
On-board 10/100 LAN w/ Intel® 82562EZ

I think an AMD 3800 would suit you better than an Intel 3.4. I would also suggest a better power supply.

considering he is using it for college a Intel would be better as multitasking, not gaming - or not that he has mentioned anyway.

wow, thats pretty nice. yea i think a AMD would do better, but its for college, so it shouldnt matter. and yes, try to reconsider on getting a better psu.

AGP card in a PCIe board not gonna work too well :d

a few things:
1. whats your budget and intent for the system?
2. id consider a value set of DDR2-533 2x512mb to pair up with that setup
3. consider a different optical drive setup, have a look at the CD/DVD 101 for ideas
