What Do You Think of This Combination?

I more I read here the more I realize how much I don't know. But that's a good thing. Anyway, I was over at NewEgg and they have the ASUS A8N5X 939 socket with the NVIDIA nForce 4 chipset (Northbridge) for $90.00. This sell ends today at 5:30 p.m PST. What do you know/think of this motherboard? Would I be better off with another manufacture?

As for the CPU I was looking at 2:

AMD Athlon 64 3500+ Venice 1 Ghz FSB for $201.00

OR

the Athlon 64 3500+ Clawhammer for $26.00 more. What do you think? (And what is the difference?)

I have never done AMD before but so many of you swear by this brand. Also, what RAM would you suggest? Thanks tons.

Corsair Valueselect Memory is good if you aren't overclocking. MSI Neo4-F is a good mobo ($85). The 3200+ is probably fine, depending what you're using the comp for.

Why the Venice over the Clawhammer? To me it seemed the same, but such is my limited knowledge. I'm trying to learn this stuff.

The Venice should be much better at overclocking. The Claw actually runs hotter stock as well seeing as default voltage is 1.5v and Venice is 1.35-1.4v. Claw is 0.13nm and Venice is 90nm...etc

Then do you think the Motherboard I mentioned is fine or would a different one be better? My budget at this point would say no more than $150.00 but I would go to $200.00 if you think it would be better.
