What do you think?

Ya, Definetly a suffcient upgrade, That processor I believe has good overclocking abilites. You will definetly see a difference. It is dual-core, and has a better cache, but remember it's OEM and doesn't come with the stock heat-sink fan so you'll have get a new one, or use your old one.

All you might need to do is update the bios. I'm not sure, but will you really see that much of a difference?

I think it will be worth it, and i would realy need somthing like that incase i put vista on it later on. Thanks

What I did was email there support and asked if they were going to update the bios for the Phenom X4 and X2 when they come out. Dfi emailed me back in about a hour and said they were already working on it, and I never got one back from Foxconn and I sent them two just to make sure ( dont know what happen to them:confused:) then Tiger had the FX-62 for 169 bucks, so why not:cool:

Yea it was the same price as the X2 6000, but it has a unlocked X. Probably cant get no more MHZ out of it than a X2 5600 or 6000 but hey its a FX:rolleyes:

I just checked and they must have sold out, they had the retail FX for 169.99 and the OEM for 249.99-weird, got a 8800gts but was DOA, sent it back today for a refund instead of RMA, going to build a computer out of a X2 4600 I have and sell it and save up and see what happens with the price of Video cards in the next month or two, make these 7600gt drag out for awhile.

Thats sucks, what are the chances of getting a DOA? Yeah im wondering if they will drop when the 9800's come out
