What does this error mean?

ERROR
Resource Conflict - PCI in slot 01
Bus:00 Device:0C Function:00

Note - No hardware was ever changed, added or replaced in this computer. It used to boot, not it doesn't. Why would I be getting this error message now?
 
Sometimes pulling the cmos battery and then replacing it fixes the problem, if that doesn't work then pull out what ever hardware is in the pci slot a put it back in.

See if you can boot into safe mode and go into the device manager and see if there is any ! marks beside anything. If you cant get into safe mode try removing any PCI cards one at a time to see if it will boot.

He never said nothing was in a PCI slot. He said nothing was changed added or replaced before the error.
 
This is a long shot but also a possibility, sometimes cards and RAM get whats called chipcreep and the cards/ram "creep" or move out of thier slots. Maybe this is the issue maybe it isnt but never the less it is always a good idea to check

It wasn't chipcreep, but one of my memory sticks was bad. That's what caused my problem.
