biostar was a dead end. but here is the thing. i had mixed up my memory. i had a 5300 stuck in there and it was the one acting up. the other is a 4200. which is working fine. i bought another 5300 and put it in by itself and it only showed half the memory. bought yet another from a differnt place and the same. the board is supposed to support up to 4200 and the memory was saying its backwards compatible. even the one that was different than all the rest. so new question. is this because of the roll back of the memory? if i put another 4200 in will it show the whole thing? or am i wasting my money. i don't think its a board issue. right this minute i have a 1 gb 4200 and a 256mb 4200 in it and all of it shows up.
