what does this us for power?

Uses power from motherboard pci-e slot, no connectors required. Although i wouldnt trust anything on a rosewill power supply to be honest.

Because they are a slightly overpriced budget/lowend power supply. That is no more better then brands people call cheap/crap power supplies. If you really, really want one. Pick a model out and do alot of review lookups before buying it.

Lets put it this way, buying a walmart branded blender, and then for $10 more there is one from say, black and decker beside it. Which one is gonna last longer? A name brand. Which one will run quieter and more effecient? A name brand.

Not always the case. Maybe more efficient, true, but even the big guys make mistakes.

I'm not saying that Rosewill is better than anything, I'm just saying I have one and so does my nephew, and they work great.
