What exactly is MACEwnd?

So I've tried doing a google search and a forum search of this, not much luck. The only thing I found through my search on google was a post in another forum, the speculation was between it being a virus or something relating to the graphics card.
It appears on my screen when I alt+tab between Internet browser windows (i.e., it shows it as something that I can switch too, but remains hidden).
My graphics card is a 512MB ATI VisionTek Radeon X1300 XGE.
It doesn't seem to be affecting my computer much, if at all... I'm just curious to know what it is, is there some how I can check through DOS? And like I mentioned, the all-mighty-and-powerful google left me empty-handed.
Thanks.

If you go to your task manager, do you have MACE.exe running in the background?

Title: MACE.exe

Filename: MACE.exe

Description: This process installed alongside ATI graphics hardware and provides additional configuration options for these devices in the Managed Access to Catalyst Environment (MACE) component.

Thank you, what site did you get that from? Microsoft's?

I Googled MACEwnd whiched pulled up a forum talking about how it might be related to MACE.exe provided MACE.exe was running in the tast manager, so I Googled MACE.exe and it pulled up quite a few sites referring to this process as being related to ATI graphics hardware.

Ah, I see, guess I should've dug deeper
