hi guys. ive just bought a new desktop pc, (only cheap, not too powerful)

1.6ghz dual core
1gig ram (going to upgrade to atleast 2 gig)
250 gig harddrive
32 meg onboard graphics (going to get a new card)

is there any software that will analyse my system and tell me what games will work. (i know new games wont work, cause its not powerful enough)

ive got vista home premium with base score of 3.2 (due to graphics). the systems at my mums which doesnt have internet, can i go on a website and enter the base score or do i have to use the shortcut in vista

hmmm you can play the old valve games like counter strike and half life 1 if you'd like.

i'd expect to play more than that. i played half life 1 on an old laptop i had years ago, i think that was only about 800mhz.

ive intsalled a few games and football manager 2008, and blitzkrieg work fine.

can anyone reccomend a good graphics card (PCI-E) thats not too expensive

lol. couldn't think of any games that would run on a 32mb integrated card.

yeah, if you're not much of a heavy gamer, the 7600gt is an awesome card. i would've gotten one myself, but there wasn't any in stock.

Go to Computer, look at the top of the screen with a row of buttons, go to System properties. Click on Windows Experience Index and then View software for my base score. It takes you to microsofts site, you can click on games and see some. Hope that helps.
