what gpu do I have?

make sure you have the monitor connected to the GPU and not the motherboard. that might be causing the confusion.

its hard to tell, i have a gtx 260 and its way bigger then the card in our work computer, the only difference is our work pc had dvi vga and hdmi out compared to I have two dvi's

well i think you said that is a work computer (unless i'm going spastic) which i would be correct in assuming it was a prebuilt?

i had the same problem with my laptop after fresh install of windows. so what i did was just google the type of computer i had.
E.G my lappytoppy was an acer travelmate 240.
so i googled "Acer TravelMate 240 drivers" and that took me to the acer website where i looked through the drivers and selected the ones i think i needed. it was missing a vga one so i looked for a vga driver and downloaded, and that did the trick.

so hopefully you can have the same luck as i did!

I agree with others this seems to be a 4350. I'm almost postive also if you happen to install the drivers for the 4350 and it turns out to not be the 4350 its not like your computer is going to blow up, it won't run properly but you can uninstall the drivers and you will be right back to where you started.
