What Graphics Card Should I Get?

Hello,
I want to get a directx10 graphics card and don't know which to go for. Can someone tell what the best one is (performance) and which one is the best value?

performance wise the 8800 ultra, but will hit u for about £350-£500

Best value kinda depends on what your gonna be using the card for, u a serious gamer? or u just need to play games on medium settings?
 
Well, I will be playing the newest games on the highest quality as well as making them and testing them. I want good quality because i'm connected to my tv via hd.

8800GT, its tempting but when you say its better, I wonder how?
Should the one that costs €300 more not be 30 times better?

The 8800GT uses the G92, whereas the current 8800GTS uses the G80. However shortly you will be able to buy the revised 8800GTS, which will be a bit better.
 
Right now the GT is nipping at the GTX's heels, and the new G92 GTS will surpass that. It will probably be $300-400, not a bad deal at that.
 
Nil me good at irish. Ta me ina conai i eire. Anyway, While researching the graphics cards, i came across a minimum spec and they say you need a good power supply. Is an ms-tech 550w powerful enough (for any graphics card)?
 
Never heard of that brand. Probably crappy one that you bought or came with your case. Trash that an get an 550W Rosewill SLi. Unless that 550W has 30A+, junk it.
