I was applying logon skins and windowblinds skins, etc, and when I rebooted my ccomputer, the new bootskin came up, finished, and I got a BSOD, just like I did with my deskktop, so I restart the computer, select start windows normally, and everything is just the same except that there is no customized bootscreen. Big deal, the same thing happened with my desktop. After I log on, the skin comes, the objectdock comes up, everytthing works except for my background. It is just white(or grey, whichever you may call it). When I try to apply a background from the display properties, it comes up for a picosecond, and dissappears into the grey abiss. When I try to apply a background from another program, i.e. Irfanview, same result. I tried everything that I could think of, including restarting(duh), changing skins, unloading skin, etc, but no favorable results. Any insight into this baffling predicament would be greatly appreciated.
