i have 6gbs of ram and im running window 7 Professional 32-bit. if i remember right it says im only using 3.5gbs of my ram does my computer do anything else with the other 2.5? im just curious.
im planning on getting 64bit i just dont see the need for it at the time.
haha the last answer was the best. i understand that is the memory limit i was just wonder what happens to the rest of the memory. does it just sit there and do nothing. im planning on getting 64bit i just dont see the need for it at the time.
I do think its worth it now instead of later. then depends on how you use it. On another note i brought up the question else where how much memory can be recognized with 32 bit.
Others have replied and said something similar to what i mentioned and here. Here's another comment from microsoft that was interesting and a breakdown. if you figure it out then let me know. im getting the impression with 32 bit and say 4gig you can increase the virtual memory and use it. Just won't see it. Im i interpreting this right?

another comment was windows 7 32 bit will recognize 4 gig limit.
i just play star craft 2 and some other random games. it runs great right now so that's why I'm in no rush to get 64-bit.
