what cpu cooler shoudl i get, ive OCed about 600mhz so far but i need better cooling, i have a asus p4p800se, i just measured for the big zalman 120mm one but i wont fit, any other sugestions, the thermal take big typhoon looks good too.

oh yea for skt 478

The Big Typhoon is a great cooler... but it's HUGE. Pretty sure it's bigger than the Zalman. I would have recommended a Zalman, but seeing as how it's too big..:(

hmmm... how old is your machine? Are you trying to overclock to get your computer to present day specs? If so I highly reccomend an upgrade.

I wouldn't recommend the 9500 for a socket 478 because it's much heavier than what the mobo is supposed to handle and with no good support on the back of the mobo it may cause some problems. I have that same mobo(well, mine says X-series but I think it's the same) in my other computer and I put this Zalman HSF...

But if you want a little better cooling go for the all copper version...

Installation of that one is kinda difficult if you don't have much space in your case, so you may want to take the mobo out.

the 9500 only weighs 530g,which is one of the lightest in its class. while the 7000B-CU weighs a whopping 755g. The big typhoon weighs even more, 813g.
the 9500 isnt too heavy and it comes with supports. also becuase of design it helps better air cirulation of the case. over all its better and it shows by its price.

i dont need to upgrade, that mobo was the result of an upgrade, i geuss ill go with eaither the 9500, or 7000b

The Big Typhoon is just tall, and since its raised up it doesnt contact anything on the mobo (Dependant on the mobo, but should fit with most.

My Typhoon fits perfect in my Thermaltake Sopano, and it performs very well. Id reccomend the Typhoon.
