....my computer crashes and I can't use system restore because...well...everythings gone. How would I recover everything? How can I back everything up so if my computer does crash, I'll have everything to load back onto my computer.

My PC didn't crash. I'm just wondering what I could do if I lost everything.

if you are that paranoid..

right now, you can start burning video or music files that are very large in size into cd's or dvd's as data.

1. backup whatever you find important in your "My Documents" folder
2. backup any useful programs you may of downloaded
3. backup movies, musics, pictures
4. jot down system/network configurations incase you dont know any of them
5. any downloaded drivers for future use

do all this via cd/dvd/external hard drives.. which ever you have handy..
if none.. zip them and load them to those free hosting sites.

i would not compress them if you dont have another backup cuz they might corrupt and if you dont have repair files you're screwed.
