I am building a new computer. but on my old computer, call of duty lags a little bit. My old computer was used for only 1 year and had a ATI RADEON HD 3470 GRAPHICS. I wonder if it's because of the monitor or it's because of the CPU, RAM, etc.

My old computer's information

CPU: Intel Pentium Dual Core PENT. T3200

RAM: 3gb

Hard Drive: 250 GB
Display: 14" WXGA

A pretty new computer but call of duty lags a little bit.

So my question is:

What is a good monitor (cheap) for call of duty?(If it's the matter of monitor)

If it's not the matter of monitor.... Then

What is a good monitor for gaming?

THANKS FOR ALL REPLYS~!

Your monitor won't have anything to do with the lag, it is the hardware in your computer that will cause the lag. You can use an ancient CRT monitor and it will work with any game.

What is holding you back is your graphics, however, you can't just go out and get a graphics card. It depends on the size of the case, what type of expansion cards your graphics card can take and what power supply you have. So, if you can tell us:

1. What power supply do you have?
2. What size is your case (ATX, mATX, full tower etc)?
3. What motherboard do you have?

You have a good power supply, and your motherboard supports PCIe x16 video cards, so you have no problems with being able to run a decent card:

or

the latter would be my choice personally. However, the size of your case may cause you problems. Check the specs of your case and if it will support a full sized video card, or if you need it to be low profile
