i need a program that watches the temps on my cpu and my videocard and everything else. i tried everest but that only monitors my harddrive and it says that it is at 99 Degrees F is that warm for a harddrive. and i tried speedfan but it will only monitor my harddrive to.

On most dells there isnt a temp monitor probe on teh proc, at least i didnt have one on my 8300. Try lavalys.com and dl everest home edition. Also next time try the search function as this has been discussed many, many, many times before

while i use the search function why dont you read what i posted before. I SAID I USED EVEREST AND IT DEOSNT SAY ANYTHING ABOUT TEMPS

Since you have an ATi card, get ATiTool, it is an overclocking program but it also reads the gfx card temps and displays the temp in you taskbar. Motherboard monitor is aklso a very great program, it can read damn near every temp available on most boards.

would i be able overclock my x300 and how far would i be able to overclock it too. like would i be able to overclock it to the performance of a 6600 gt in a ati equivalent card

^no. the x300 does not offer much for performance, and does not overclock well. plus, it only has 32mb onboard memory, borrowing the rest from your system, so it will never match performance despite what you can overclock it to.

actually it has 128 mb onboard cause it says 128 mb video memory on the card. and it doesnt say in the bios that it takes memory away from the main memory

doesnt anybody know of any programs to monitor the cpu temps other than speedfan

Motherboard Monitor is in my opinion the superior choice.

Being rude will get you nowhere fast. Btw 99 degreees c is way too high:eek:

Another free utility is DTemp.

Only monitors the temp of your hard drive, but its unclutterd and sits unobtrusively in your task bar. After killing 2 hdd's once cause I hadn't enough cooling, its now one of the first things I install.
