what is a good zalman 92MM fan??

i want to keep the price low is there any good 92MM CPU fan that cost lesser than 30 bucks?

how can you tell your fan is 92MM??

i just measure the one thats on my PC its about 3.5 inches L and W i mean like the whole thing is around 3.5 to 3.7 inches

so i used the MM to inches converter it came out near 92MM so i just assumed my fan is 92mm i am not sure it is right ?? so is it??

thanks

and this fan the dimension is a little too big...
it is Dimensions: 107mm x 96.5mm x 126.5mm
isn't it?? cuz my whole thing is around 3.5 Inches

or is it my fan a 88MM???

sorry for all the troubles ... i am still a beginner
thanks

is there any small non fan cooler?? that does an excellent job?

The actual figure for 92mm cinverted into inches is 3.6220472403999997. Simply round that off to a shorter number to see where you end up at. 3.6inches

yes i know but after you install the balls on it. it exceeds 3.7 inches doesn't it??

look it says 107mm x 96.5mm <----- the whole dimension of the fan

The diameter of the fan blades themselves are 92mm. The 107mm is the outer edge of the copper fins that surround the fan. The 96.5mm is the inner side of the fins leaving the 4.5mm gap between the tip of the fan blades and the inner edge of the fins. Simple math is all you need there.

That will depend on your budget there. The Zalman CNPS 9500 runs about $55 on sale. The Artic Cooling Freezer64 Pro sees about $30-. There are also some different makes and models that are lighter but not quite as good as the Zalman or Artic Cooling models to look over. One good list of different ones can be seen at http://www.xoxide.com/insoc42pen4c.html for Socket 478.

Many with Core 2 Duos are still looking at the Zalman CNPS 9500 for the newer Socket 775 boards seen at http://www.xoxide.com/zalman-cnps9500-led-cooler.html for the higher price there.

when i look at the artic freeze it doesn't support socket 478? or does it??
if it does, it is not listed...
so does it??

thanks

There are two different Artic Cooling models to begin with there. The Freezer 64 Pro is geared towards AMD models while the Freezer 7 Pro is intended for the Socket 775 line of Intel models. The ones currently available for 478s are seen at http://www.xoxide.com/insoc42pen4c.html I generally go by the compatibility for the different socket types seen in each catagory since I mainly run AMD not Intel boards here.
