What is a modulator?

I think that modulation is a process of carrying a signal that can be used for transfering information. Modulator - Demodulator is obviously a modem.
 
I dunno what a modulator is...

I know that "modular" in PSU world means you can disconnect all the unnecesary wires you need to cut down on clutter and save space. Instead of having to hide all those wires from the PSU, you can simply remove them. Very useful.
 
Modulator must be a typo if it exists on that page, it should say modular, 4W4K3 has it.

shure.. it doesnt work different as a normal PSU, the only good thing is you can take out the unneccesairy cable, wich give you more space ( and a better airflow) inside the case :)
