The first system is my friends and the second one is mine in my opion i like intel over amd. What system do u think is a better performance overall?

like said before yours is better, score: 3-0

Where'd you get that? You are inferring that a P4 at 3.0Ghz is better than an AMD 3700+?

My thoughts:
You have the Video card, which beats his pretty well, however, his CPU is better than yours. That gives a 1-1. As far as memory goes, believe it or not, he probably has better memory performance, because yours is not running dual channel while his probably is. Given that the CPU/Memory/Video card holds the vast majority of the performace in the system, I would give you a 1.5 (for the Video card) and him a 1.5 (for the Processor/Memory). The rest of the spec on your computer still is slightly better than his, so I would make it a 2 for you and a 1.5 for him. There.

Definitely the second one.

The processors might be a wash, not sure. Yours has more ram and a better video card.

What's the point? Is this just to settle an argument?

Why not benchmark them? That would settle it.
