What is Drive Z ?

My new Win 10 Desktop has a drive Z which I do not have access to, it takes up 75.9 MB. What is it and is it necessary? I assume that it is a partition of C drive

Usually drives towards the end of the alphabet are network drives. Can you take a screenshot to show us?

It appears drive/System Z is back it has 76.1MB, I cannot open it says "I currently do not have permission to access this folder.
Can anyone please tell me what is going on

It's just a system partition created by Windows.

If you want to get rid of it, just go into disk management and remove the drive letter assignment.

Drive Z is an storage location on a file server. It allows you to save files from one computer and access them later on a different computer ..
No, it's not. Did you even look at the OP or are you just spamming your signature?
