What is going on, I have not even started yet...

I was thinking of overclocking my newly build system but i have not even started yet and my pc is going creazy.

When i try to turn on the pc today the speaker plays a high pitch sound. I turn it off right away.

I though this could happend when overclocking the cpu to much at one time and the cpu is being fried so the speaker plays that sound.

But i have not even didn't anything yet i am hearing this strand sound.

Any idea?

So,have you overclocked your pc before the problem with the high pitch sound?
If no,try to plug some headphones or other speakers,and listen if the strange sound is still there.

I have not yet did any overclocking to the system.

The hight pitch sound just happend when i try to turn on the pc today.

The screen still shows, when i started up the pc the screen displays the video card but i turned it off right away because of the sound.

NVM. I opend up my pc and found that one of the unused power connecter for the hardrive was touching the mother board. after i removed it from the mobo everything is fine now.
