What is my friends mobo?

Ive never had to find this out since i bought my system on my own...but my friend wants a new HDD and he doesnt know what kind of mobo he has. it WAS custom built by his dad or something, but now none of them know. are there any programs or something that says what it is?

or just open the case and see what kinda plugs the HD has, like a IDE, SATA etc...

ok im in cpu-z and it doesnt say manufactorer name, just model number and then a bunch of numbers.

i might try what u said JP, but i doubt he will know what is sata or ide or anything

what is listed under the mainboard tab?

type them out here and we might be able to work it out

otherwise try sisoft sandra. usually damn good at identifying everything
