What is the best AGP GPU?

Now I know most all of you have PCI-E, but bare with me here. What is the best AGP GPU out there and how much does it cost? And what is the difference between DDR and DDR2? And will DDR2 not work if I have DDR?

Sorry, (I should know this by know) but what is GDDR?
GDDR (I believe it stands for graphics dual data rate RAM) is just the type of RAM that the video card uses.

edit: lookie here. That talks about GDDR3, but it is all the same thing, mostly.

I got a Sapphire ATI Radeon X1600 512MB DDR2 AGPx8 and it works perfectly on my DDR motherboard. Got it for $160.00 Canadian after taxes.
Great results! Couldn't be happier!
I play FEAR, HITMAN, DOOM 3, STARSHIP TROOPERS, BLACK & WHITE 2 and QUAKE 4 on 1024 x 768 x 32 at medium to high resolution settings at easily 30 FPS.

They were talking about GDDR and GDDR2.

Doesn't Albatron make a 20ppl (or is it 24?) 7800GS, if so, that would be the best agp card available.

I have the Sapphire ATi x1600 Pro too and I have to warn you.... it's a great card excpet that it overheats quickly due to the lame cooler but easily fixed with an aftermarket cooler.

The current best AGP card performance wise is the X850XT PE.

DDR2 can be much faster, but requires 240-Pin slots.

they make a 7800GS with a 7900GT core... 24PPL and 512MB of GDDR4
 GDDR4 isnt even out yet.
Also, the only kind of 7800GS you will find in stores or on online stores, will be the 7800GS with 16pp.

There's this, although technicly your right because I can't seem to find it in stores

Does any brand make an AGP with a clock speed of 400MHz with 256MB and uses DDR2 plus good ratings, or is that just a myth?

If I run a card with a effective clock speed of 500MHz, and my bus speed is only 400MHz, will that effect my performance a lot?
