I have an Epson Stylus C88+ that is a few years old but is still available.
It was cheap to buy and cheap to feed, so long as I do the following:
1. I buy my ink on Amazon. Genuine Epson only, no off-brands.
2. I set my default printing preference to "Draft".
3. I leave the printer switched "on" at all times. Otherwise every time I turn it on, it will use up ink to prime the print head to no good purpose.
This has been cheaper to buy and run than any HP, Canon or Brother that I've ever owned. It is fast and quiet and results are very good. I intend to keep this running as long as Epson sells ink for it.
