What is the best price for OS?

Hi, I am building a computer and need an operating system (Windows 7 professional). I don't have $300 to pay for the retail box. I was thinking about buying an OEM, but I heard that you lose it if your motherboard dies or something. Is there any cheap Windows 7 pro OS out there? I would only need to install it on one computer at a time. I just need to make sure it will allow me to install on a different computer if something happens to this one.

Any advice?

Oh, so if I get OEM I can uninstall it and install it again?

Your windows is tied to the motherboard, but if it dies, just get the same make and model of motherboard and it'll work. I went from a 970A-UD3 to my 990FXA-UD3 and the key worked fine.
