What is the best Restore or Go Back program you've used?

Hi I am preparing to do a reformat / reinstall of windows and want to have a go back program in place at the beginning with a restore point made that day.

What would you recommend? I am just looking for something that does the job without being annoying.. you know what I mean. No programs that feel the need to start up and flash their logo on startup or auto update every day etc just something that does the job. Thanks :)
 
You don't have much a choice here if you don't want a program running at startup. Most people choose to use imaging software in case of catastrophe. Your only other choice is system restore. Not sure if symantec is still making their goback program or not.
