What is the difference between sata sata2 and esata?

your pc has an ide drive, different then a sata drive. if you replace the 160 gig hd that came with your computer, your going to have to replace it with a ide hard drive unless you find a sata hard drive compatible with your motherboard and if thats the case, the cables come with it so you wont need to buy them.

Assuming the drive in your computer is sata, you would need an sata or sata2 cable, sata2 preferably as they would support the sata-3Gb/s transfer rate;)
 
There is no difference in Sata 1.5 and 3.0 cables other than the locking clamp. Either can be used on both with no performance loss. Esata is for a exterior.

The spec. on your computer says it came with a 100gb. Sata drive.

You will need any regular SATA cable to connect an internal SATA drive. Your motherboard has two SATA1 connectors, so you could put up to two SATA devices in there. There is no functional difference between SATA cables except for the eSATA connector type as StrangleHold pointed out.

The main difference between the SATA "1.0" spec and SATA "2.0" spec is the maximum transfer rate. SATA 1 has a maximum speed of 1.5Gb/s versus SATA 2 at 3Gb/s. You can still use a SATA 2 drive with your computer.
