Is there a demo?

About half the power of your hardware set with 1280 x 1024 rez with low shadows and 550m view range set everything else on high. The demo don't do it justice its only half the map and 10th of the weapons and the ready made missions for the full game are awfull. It's the remake of Operation Flashpoint if you remember that.

It's still in a bad state at the moment it was released half finnished with trucks and tanks running into small rocks and boucing 400ft into the air and sound switching off with audigy cards and real lag on series 8 cards, wait for 1.6 patch. Impresive to see what can be done with computers though.

Thats recomended spec and suffers with busy battles can't wait for an upgrade.

Amazing looking game. I got MAX graphics, sound, no lag, on multilayer. and the island is huge! Although I don't think its a resource hog. Its actually easy to max out. In game I have TONS of RAM left. CPU is never really over 80% used. Overall, its not s bad as you say it is.

Dx10 is supposedly going to make it phenomenally realistic at max settings... but we will see.
Umm..that's BULL!!! my computer runs it on max and hi resolution (1240x1024)

I've only gone on wot I've heard from people. But wot I understood was that to obtain 25FPS in downtown chicago in the Cap. Sim 757 on full autogen, full res and everything maxed out full stop that you needed almost something that I quoted. Im probly wrong but im just going on what i've heard.

FEAR would be my choice, I wouldn't consider it a resource hog, because its actually putting those resources to good use and delivering stunning graphics unlike some other games.

I always thought FEAR looked a bit plastic-y. Almost like everything has a fine layer of water over it.
