What is the most part ?

HI everyone,
I am gonna build a computer for myself...I don't really know much about computer. My budget is around $400. My question is what is the most important part that need to be considered when you buy a PC ? I don't have much money so i want to spend most money on that part...:D ..:D ..Any suggestion for me ?

If you want to game, probably the GPU. Otherwise, the CPU. However, for $400, I don't think you'll be able to get too much of anything. A low/mid level GPU costs about $100. Of course it doesn't matter that much if you don't plan to game :o
 
well if your a gamer- it is simple, the GPU

otherwise probably the CPU

but for $400 you want to have a balanced system, so do not spend too much on one part

Well that is a rather low budget but I'm sure we can find something. :) What will you be mostly using this for? and do you need just the tower? or do you need and monitor, speakers, mice\keyboard, ext...

I want to buy a PC for studying or surfing internet but not for gaming. I've already have monitor, i just need the rest...Thanks for your help guys.
 
pentium d + 512mb ram+ onboard video+ good psu+ dvdrw/cdrw+floppy+hdd+mobo

you can do it with 400 :) internet+homework computer is easily done at that budget.
