what is the Most Powerful Branded Desktop right now?

exclude desktop from ibuypower, cyberpowerpc, custom-build ect....

something like dell, gatewell, acer, sony, alienware ect....

alienware....

but there was somewhere else that someone mentioned on CF.. cant remember what it was... but they had crazy systems.

Vadim Computers do totally insane PC's, there's also Commodore Gaming machines and Scan 3XS. These are all the UK companies I know of that make big insane PC's. Not forgetting HP with the blackbird 002 either.

Ouch, I just looked at the blackbird for fun. Something similar to mine but twice the money!! Except I was told vista was a waste of money so I just have XP. Vista is just......pretty  Whatever it takes to sell a computer to avg bob & jane.

^ I don't know...I like Vista, it's stable and I haven't ever had any problems with it. But then again, I'm not the average user (plus my name isnt bob...or jane.)

Tough Alienware may have good systems, the business is total crap. Their systems are so expensive, they completely rip off their customers. I would not recommend a AW computer.

Dell is nice. If you go to their website you can handpick everything you like and create a machine that would fit your needs as a user.

If it's more stable than XP, I wish the place I bought my pc from would've stated that.

But I only have issues with the dual monitors. I drag something from the main one onto the second one and that program will lockup. I don't think that's XP though but the video card. Then again I don't know.....

You mean Voodoo Computers? Last time I checked, their cheapest custom comp was around the $5000 US!! ;)

I'm guessing those are the best "branded computers", although Alienware seems pretty reliable as well.

I worked on a machine with dual monitors and XP OS all summer and never had any problem of this sort. I do not know what the video card was within the system though.

Heheh, the people that say that have never used Vista themselves. You should at least try Vista before you start hatin' on it. :P

Yeah well I have "downgraded" to XP from Vista premium. Had stability problems, instead of fixing it, just went back to my bread and butter. Will probably start using vista again when I get 4gb of ram though. (Because it was 64 bit).
It looked cool and media center was cool, but other than that it was OK, nothing to rave about by any means.

Well at least you tried it. Vista seems to give a different experience to everyone, thats why i say try it before making a decision. I love all the little extra features it has, and not to mention it looks much slicker than XP.;)
