WHAT IS THIS AND HOW DO I GET RID OF IT?

Unfortunately, this is probably something that will require hands on to determine what is actually going on.
 
I think you're right. Too bad. But at least I can get that picture from my daughter when I have the nerve to ask. ;) And, I will tell both of my kids to send me pictures via Email from now on. That's, of course, unless I can figure out another way, which I doubt.
Thanks once again for all your help (and recent patience), and I have no doubt that some other problem will come up in the future.
