lol, no way of knowing without clicking. But yeah, its apparently an .exe file, and executibale application, so it may load something on your computer or try to install something. Whered you find the link?
 
no cause my friend was like load this and i was like instantly thats a freakin virus obiously. And i called him and asked him he said that he got it from his mom. It said that load this it looks like you. and he clicked it and the virus sent the message to everyone thats his contact.
 
Don't Hack!!! What the hell's the matter with you? Don't post a link that could lead to a virus, some people will click it out of curiosity. You seem to find it funny that your friend has got a virus, do you want everyone here to get one?
 
I downloaded it and saved it with out opening it and then scanned it with norton and ewido and neither came up with anything! Hase anyone confirmed that it actually is a virus? I did not open it, instead just to be safe after scanning it I deleted the file!
 
It adds 3 new folders, 5 Hijackthis entries, a toolbar in IE and a trojan downloader.

oh...an that wouldn't do any harm at all. It is kind of funny when someone gets a virus. Its like watching a thriller. Will they get rid of it in time...To Be Continued!

is there actually a point to this thread at all, im pretty sure posting lniks to viruses is against forum rules, although i havent checked because i cant remeber where the forum rules are?

ive gotten the exact same virus. someone sent me an im on aim and it said like wow this looks like u and being hte idiot i am i installed it. it then sent an im with the same link to everyone on my buddy list. but i got rid of it fast.
