can someone explain voip to me?
i know its like a telephone on the internet... but can i use it like i use my normal phone?

can a voip phone call anyone, anywhere, on any type of phone?
can any type of phone call someone using voip?

Well, VoIP stands for Voice over IP. Programs like Skype are great for this. Its free calls to any PC using Skype. But to call landlines and cell phones on your PC, using Skype, you have to pay a charge.


There are phones made for VoIP at home, they connect to the internet, and call.


In order for a VoIP transaction to go through, it needs an internet connection.



You can't replace a cell phone, for a VoIP phone, unless your always by an internet connection.

Yes, I believe so, with the right subscription.

I am not sure if other people can call your VoIP phone, I'll do some research.
