Okay so im having some issues with my computer and was hoping i could get some info on here. A while ago my computer would shut off on me while i would be playing a game. So i took my fans off and cleaned them all. Turns out there was alot of dust on my CPU fan and heatsink. So i cleaned it all up and it wasnt shutting off on me at all. Roughly 4 days later i go into a game and it shut off on me. I have no idea why it is doing this. I cant see the computer overheating on me, but thats what it sounds like. Someone also said switch around your sticks of ram. I dont know why that would do anything but i have done that also. My computer is running around 23 degrees celcius says speedfan. It also says while im playing online games that my CPU usage fluxuates around 70%-89% computer was formatted not too long ago. Yet still runs slow at times.

Here are the specs for my computer.

NZXT Lexa Blackline case with total of 7 fans.
Motherboard: Gigabyte GA-8IPE1000
Chipset: Intel Springdale i865PE (P4 2.4ghz)
System Memory: 2304 MB (PC3200 DDR SDRAM)
Video Card: RADEON 9200 SE (128 MB)

Anybody know why it is shutting off?

Try downloading a program called PC Wizard 2008 and check your temps with it and also take a look at your voltages.

Sometimes you have to change the order of your RAM if you are using two different types. For example if your Motherboard supports PC3200 but you have a PC2700 as well as a PC3200 stick in there, then if you put it the wrong way round your computer will randomly restart and reboot. As a general rule you should always put the slower ram closest to the CPU so the motherboard reads it first and use the slower speed, otherwise it will try to use the faster speed and the other stick of RAM will not be able to keep up and produce error and therefore cause your system to be unstable.

Your hardware isn't exactly cutting edge so heat shoudln't be a big probelm. Are you overclocking? Check that you have the latest drivers.

Nah im not overclocking anything. I tried to the other day and then my pc wouldnt even boot up so i reset the cmos and everything went back to default.
But it is saying im using alot of CPU usage for playing a game. Is that normal?
