What is your favourite operating system?

I like Windows when I'm gaming, Linux when I'm coding, and OS * when I'm just screwing around with a nice GUI interface.

...well..... everything but the text editors... vi is a pain in the @$$... but without Unix, linux wouldnt be here and Bill Gates would have actually had to CREATE something...

Never had the chance to run linux on my personal computer (one of our our servers uses redhat though)

out of windows starting from 3.1 or w/e XP is my most favorite (functionality/customization) and most hated (instability/hackage/security)...but still XP. 2K3 is also good...but because it's also on one of our other servers i only got to mess with it a few times...can't really rate it with a small amount of usage.

i loves win xp!!
smooth,fast although it is not so secure!
and another reason is it requied many 'old' divice's driver !
this helps many people solve the old driver's problem!

i do like XP although it is very resourse hungary, there is nothing particularly wrong with it. Win2k is another favourite as it does not require the amount of resourses as XP. i cant really judge any other type of operating system as i do not work on them, and that would be unfair.

Well, I know Windows better than anything else. I am fond of Linux though. I chose windows xp cause it's the newest but I hate that activation crap. Many times I just say screw it and install Windows 2000.

I use WinXP Pro right now. I like it just fine. It's fun to play around with Linux though, I learn something new each session.
