Okay, so I was trying to burn a DVD in one of my case drives, when the drive started making a really loud whirring noise, kind of like a jet engine was getting ready to take flight. Then there was this loud rattling type of sound which kind of sounded like a bunch of mechanical parts crashing into each other (trust me, it was ugly). It would be sort of like something running into a fan blade. Then the whole thing stopped, and the CD did not get burned all the way - but only part of the video showed. I was using EZ Burner software.
I tried playing the DVD in the drive after this, and it played just fine. No more disconcerting noises.
So, what just happened? And do I need to concern myself with it?
Thanks.
