What kind of graphic cards should I go for?

Ok, so a friend of mine wants to buy a new graphic card and has some questions but he didn't want to create an account so i'm writing it for him:

He has a p5n-e SLI mb with an asus 8800GTS (320mb). Should he go for another asus 8800GTS (320mb) and in that case which manufacturer? Or a completely new graph?

Specs:

Motherboard: Asus p5n-e SLI nForce-6501

Ram: 2x Kingston ValueR DDR2 pc5300 2048mb

Graphic Card: Asus GeForce 8800 GTS 320MB GDDR3 HDCP

CPU: Intel Core 2 Duo E6420 2,13 ~ clocked to 2,6

i didn't quite understand that statement. does he want to put another card into his rig to have 2x 8800gts 320mb in SLI? or does he want to replace his old gts 320?

Thats the question 2x 8800 or 9800gtx? He says 2x 8800 gts is better than 9800gtx and thinks the 8x/8x pci setup on his mb still will give him more performance than 16x/16x pci....

btw, he is going to buy the 8800 for 900 kr = 180 usd
