What kind of performance should I expect from this?

That Radeon 6570 is a lower-end video card, but it would play all of the games you mentioned just fine, especially on lower resolutions and the proper settings. Unsure what you mean exactly when you say your sister's laptop is "feeling the strain", but I'm guessing a regular 6570 would be a nice upgrade from what is in the laptop. The FX cpu in that system isn't exactly a beast for gaming, but would do more than well enough, especially with that video card. It certainly wouldn't be holding it back.

You could always upgrade the video card later on too, although I'm guessing you would want to get a better PSU if you do so, depending on what comes with the build.

All in all, it looks like a decent deal, considering you get Windows 7 with it as well. I'm sure others will have more to say.

its a decent deal for what it is however you wont be getting any hgh settings on battlefield 3 or anything but out of the games you listed the only thing im unsure of would be fallout 3 on all the best settins getting 60 fps, although it will still beast that game on decent settings so all in all its good for some casual gaming and some of the lower end of the high end gaming but like i said its not battlefield 3 on ultra with 60 fps
