What laptop should I get?

Hello, I do not completely understand computer systems and I need
a sugesstion from you guys preferably with definition what laptop is best
out of following:

HP dv6000


Process or Intel Coore Duo T2350 @1.86Ghz 1.87Ghz.
RAM 1Gb
Video memory 256 Mb
HD space 160 Gb.

Compaq 6715b

Processor AMD Turion 64 X2 Mobile
HDD Serial ATA 120 GB (5400 RMP)
DDR II, 667, 1048 Mb (max 4096 mb)
Chipset AMD M690T
ATI Radeon X1250 - 512 mb

All of them have same price.
I want to buy present for a friend. He is a semi-gamer too.

HALP me please !
 
I can't look at the specs as I am rushed, but do not get the HP that is the first one. They break/die extremely easily.
 
You're probably better off with the G7000, though I don't care for HP very much.
 
HP G7000 has got twice the RAM, which doesn't mean much on it's own, but if you're a semi-gamer... :P
 
I would get the one with 2 GB for the fact that if it is running Vista or Windows 7 one GB might make the computer run a little ruff.
