What malware/anti-virus to install on Vista?

Just sorted SP2, seems ok, so now would like ask whats the best malware/anti-virus/software to install on Vista Basic?
Pref free stuff..

I have windows firewall, plus goodies that come with Vista, AVG anti virus free and Malware bytes free.

Anything else to be recommended??

If I was to get the upgrade to Win 7, I assume it would have to be a complete new install, having to do back up of the stuff I already have on here, etc?
It would not be a simple task of inserting a DVD/CD and letting it do its own thing, with existing music, pistures, etc still on here?
Sorry I am not a techy!!

Any info that might be helpful concerning this process would be grateful.

If you buy a Windows 7 Upgrade disc, you can upgrade Vista, keeping all your documents and programs in place.

You can indeed just insert the disc while running Vista, and it should to the rest.

That's the whole idea behind an "upgrade".
 
I recommend Avira Antivir for free antivirus. I'm using it for almost 2 years, then change to Kaspersky Internet Security now.
