Well i managed to pick up a nice Athlon MP 2200+ whick runs at 1800mhz but i want to do some major O/Cing with it, could you guys suggest a few good mobo's for a socket A that are good O/Cers.

The Soltek SL-75FRN2-RL motherboard (which I use ;) ) won a metric butload of awards from various overclocking sites, PC magazine, and a plethora of other sources. I've occasionally dabbled in overclocking with it. It's incredibly easy to overclock, and it's fairly stable. I've been having problems with the PS/2 ports on the board, but from what I've been able to dig up online, that's a pretty unique issue with this board. I've also dug up many many reviews that praise the board for it's ease and functionality. It has SATA 150, so it's not the most advanced board, but I've had a very positive experience with it.

MSI and Asus

Your best bet is to go with an MSI or Asus board. I believe the Asus boards come with a 3 year warranty. Also do some research on chipsets you will thank yourself later. Check out TomsHardware for reviews.

Good Luck,

Funny how you all reccomended AthlonXP boards and not AthlonMP ones hehe. Now for some MP boards:
MSI K7D Master (AMD760MPX)
Tyan Tiger MP S2460 (AMD760MP)
IWILL MPX2 (AMD760MPX)
Gigabyte GA7D9XDw (AMD760MPX)

hehe bonus points for reading the question....

Of course I dunno if its possible to punch AthlonXPs into the MP board or vice versa (you used to be able to do so with early MPs and Thunderbirds)

Sorry for the late reply, unfortunitaly i have not found any of these boards here in South Australia. I did try and put the MP intpo my NF7-S and ECS KT600-A mobo's but it would not boot.

Thanks anyway.
