What motherboard can I get

I hope this is not an annoying question for the forum. I recently spoke with dell and began doing research into more recent processors and things. I think I would like to build my own computer as opposed to giving dell all of my money. I know I want 8 usb slots, the ability to run dual intel core 2 duo processor E6600s, of course a dial up modem, ethernet, support for decent audio and video cards that are fairly up to date, 2GB DDR2 SDRAM, and anything else I may need. I would like to keep the motherboard around a hundred dollars but could go up to about 200. I kind of like the NZXT Guardian ATX Mid-Tower Case. I am confused about the power supply I will need, the size of case, and I suppose the most important aspect the MOBO. I tried looking at MOBO 101 and browsed the recomended MOBOs but I don't understand some of the things things. Thanks for any help.

Most of the recommended cards for lazy guys are outdated, but most of the tips when looking for a mobo are still good.

Sweet! Thanks everyone for the suggestions. I do some encoding and video editing along with gaming. Is having 2 dual core processors overkill, is it mainly for server type tasks?
