What OS do you use?

I know this has been done before, but the most recent has about 10 choices some of which where debian based, red hat based, AND then Linux/gnu. I just wanted to simplify that and make it clearer. Just wondering.

Windows, at the moment. Huge Linux fan, been using many distros for years and I plan to go back to a Linux distro eventually. I'm just waiting on the ATi drivers to be improved because I really don't facy losing like 30% performance of my card on Linux (that's what I was told the percentage was at the moment).

That was the one i was complaining about. The guy asks debian based distro, then red hat based distro and then linux. Do i vote in linux or debian based? Then there are 3 options under windows, and what do you vote for if your just about to upgrade or have a windows xp machine and vista machine?

It's alot more descriptive then yours, lol. All you say is Linux, Windows, or Other.

This way we know who uses Vista, XP, and various forms of Linux.

eComstation. It is based on OS/2, and is quite fast an quite useful. It is very similar to Windows--similar interface: taskbar, "start" menu, desktop, buttons on Windows, file organisation, similar filesystems, drive letters, command line that's very similar to Windows as well. I love it.

Strictly Windows, i've had experience with Linux and i despise it. On the other hand i do like Mac...

Well, yes, IBM and Microsoft jointly. But they had a sort of falling out with each other, and IBM developed it exclusively for awhile. Now it is owned by a completely different company.

Just think, if IBM had never worked with microsoft, microsoft would have failed. And then the dominant OS wouldn't be so crap.

I dual boot ( I LOVE WINDOWS AND LINUX !!!) on my laptop and my workstation, but i prefer windows and HP-UX on my servers
