What program should I test with?

I just overclocked my CPU with Asus AISuite so now I'm running at 2.16 ghz instead of 2.13. What program should I run to work the CPU that can make sure everything is OK?

Could I just play a game and see for myself?

It depends on if he's using a stock heatsink or one he installed himself. But granted, you're mostlikely right that he shouldn't see a difference in heat fluctuations and what not. But just in case..

I had a stock heatsink on my AMD 9950 X4 BE and when I stress tested it (this is with default clock speed) it hit about 62C, which is almost at my CPU's maximum heating point...

To OP, are you running on your stock heatsink?
 
ya I'm using a stock heatsink. I know 30 mhz isnt anything, but I will be doing more in the future so I just wanted to see how I stand now before I overclock

I get about 53 C max currently
 
with a stock heatsink, i managed to OC my E6400 from 2.13GHz to 2.6GHz

Now i can go up to 2.9GHz but i get some issues

so i left it at 2.77GHz.

Also, i havent touched my voltage...

in terms of temps, this is the main thing that raises temperature.

i got a 1 degree change in temp with my OC...
