The PS is for my A64 setup
it runs 2 gigs of ram, 4 SATA II hard drives in raid 0, x-fi Fatal1ty, 2 DVD drives, floppy, internal memory card reader, 2 120mm fans, 7900GT KO superclocked, think that's all I have that drains power?? I'm just tired of using a cheap PS(cost me $40 AR for my case and PS) cause I think it is the culprit for my choppy video.. it's kinda weird how it does it. my PC runs fine then once it gets loaded pretty hard it gets choppy and even if I close the game the mouse drags real slow.. like bounces around, it stays choppy until I reboot my PC. I upgraded to my new video card and it still does it so the only thing left I can think of is the PS
I want something good.. looking to spend around $100 tops.. less is better ofcourse.. but I don't wanna get another cheap PS. I was looking at a 600W XClio but it's almost $140 shipped, somebody said to get an Enermax.. but a comparable one I found was also almost $140 shipped. I thought about a seasonic but woah those are expensive.. I haven't been in the market for a PS for so long to really know what is good/bad. Is 600W excessive?? would 500W work for me with that video card, the x-fi fatal1ty, and 4 hard drives?? I have heard mixed reviews for Antec.. some say they are good, some say they suck, and some say they are just good if you are wanting to buy one of their case/PS combos(get what ya pay for) but not worth buying just a PS. I personally have 2 Antec PS's in other systems, but I dont push those.. they are both Linux machines I use for websites and storage
what brand, wattage, amps, etc.. or even links, I don't care. I am just so out of the loop with power supplies
