I was wondering what kind of RAM you guys think is the best. I like Corsair, but I heard OCZ was good to. What do you guys think? :)

I like Corsair, i used to have their ValueSelect and i thought it was really good budget ram.

OCZ... i did alot of research and they seemed to be the best choice for me. havent used it yet (still waiting for new pc to ship :() but I'll let you know how they work out! :)

I'm glad to see someone who compared Corsair and OCZ. I have Corsair now, but I'm going to upgrade RAM soon, although the Corsair didn't let me down mabe I should try OCZ. Hmm

I was hoping to get more people voting, if your vewing this thread and didn't vote, please do :o .

BTW, would it be better to get 2 sticks of 1g RAM @ 3CAS or 4 stick of 512mb RAM @ 2.5. With the 1 gigs I could upgrade later, but if not the 2.5 CAS would be a little faster. What do you guys think? Thanks:o

I heard if you get four stick with AMD it actually runs slower, but then i also heard this doesn't happen because of the new memory controllers on Athlons. Can someone pls back me up on this with facts.

I have read more than once that 2 1GB would run better than 4 512MB in an Athlon system. Of course I do not remember where I read it.

I prefer Corsair and I have XMS PC2700 (3 512's as the mobo only has 3 slots) in my present machine but will be getting the Corsair XMS 3500LLPRO which is factory set at 2-3-2-6 and matched to the ASUS AN832 SLI-Deluxe board.

Should run great. I hope.

Well to me, honestly, anything other than the generic crap ram that comes with prebuilt systems is good for me lol, but I voted for Corsair cause' I liked the WW2 airplane :P
