What RAM ?

Im putting together a new budget gaming rig.

At the moment its at £399.

The mother board is the Gigabyte GA-MA785GT-UD3H.

Im new to DDR3.

And im not that good with the channels.

As my rig is budget i was going with some single channels 2GB pair of sticks.

Should i get Single or Double as i would want to add to the rig later.

id suggest a matched set of two 1 gb pairs to run in dual channel to help with performance

Well you said 2gb. pair of sticks. If you do that, it will run in dual channel.

Memory is not dual channel. The Memory Controller runs the memory in dual channel.

Can i just have 4 of them in a motherboard or do i need duel channel ram?

Like I said, there is no such thing as Dual Channel memory. If you have two or four of those it will run in dual channel.
